Use as a garnish on salads, soups, noodles and rice. Also nice when cooked. Cook the crinkles for 10 minutes with a little bit of water, shoyu and mirin. Nice as a salty addition to your meal.

A member of the Porphyra family of red algae, it is known in Scotland as laver and traditionally made there into laver bread. In Japan, nori is unlike other edible seaweeds in that it is not harvested wild but cultivated to produce the square sheets used for wrapping sushi.  High in carotene (vit A), calcium and iron, medicinally, nori relieves the symptoms of beri-beri and reduces cholesterol.  In addition to sushi, nori can be toasted and added to soups, stews, fried rice dishes, noodles and salads.

Ingredients: Nori sea vegetable
